Jason Pominville and Charlie Coyle scored Tuesday for Minnesota, and the host Wild beat teetering Montreal, 2-1, to stick the Canadiens with their fifth straight loss.

Daniel Carr spoiled the shutout bid by Darcy Kuemper by scoring between his pads with 7:14 remaining, giving the Canadiens some life.

Kuemper and the Wild clamped down from there, dropping the Canadiens to 1-9 in their last 10 games.

Kuemper made 24 saves, giving regular goalie Devan Dubnyk a rest after the Wild lost, 6-3, to Dallas the night before.

Mike Condon stopped 20 shots for the Canadiens.

Rangers 3, Ducks 2 — Mats Zuccarello scored a power-play goal at 2:37 of overtime as host New York earned its fourth win in 15 games.

Derrick Brassard had two goals and an assist as the Rangers snapped a three-game losing streak. Henrik Lundqvist made 17 saves.

Corey Perry and Rickard Rakell scored for the Ducks, who lost their second in as many nights and for the fourth time in five games. John Gibson stopped 19 shots.

The Rangers got the power play when defenseman Cam Fowler was called for holding New York defenseman Ryan McDonagh as he broke into the offensive zone. Dan Boyle made a cross-ice pass to Zuccarello in the right circle for a shot that beat Gibson for his 15th goal of the season.

The Rangers were within 2:54 of winning the game in regulation when Rakell tied the score with a shot from the left circle that appeared to deflect off McDonagh’s stick.

Stars 4, Blackhawks 0 — Patrick Sharp had a goal and an assist in his first regular-season game against his former team, leading host Dallas.

Sharp scored 11 seconds ­into the third period to give Dallas a 2-0 lead in what had been a game with few chances between the highest-scoring teams in the Western Conference.

Coyotes 3, Maple Leafs 2 — Shane Doan scored twice in a 14-second span of the first period and assisted on the go-ahead goal, leading Arizona at home.

Connor Murphy’s shot zipped through traffic and into the net with 13:54 to play, giving the Coyotes a lead they held the rest of the way. Arizona improved to 10-1-1 in its last 12 games against Toronto dating to the 2005-06 season.

Flames 4, Jets 1 — Johnny Gaudreau scored his third career hat trick, giving him 15 goals on the season, as Calgary won at home.

Canucks 2, Lightning 1 — Daniel Sedin scored the go-ahead goal in the third period and Jacob Markstrom made 26 saves for road-weary Vancouver.

Sven Baertschi also scored for the Canucks, who finished their road trip 2-3-1. Vancouver, which had one power play, allowed just one goal on 10 shorthanded opportunities.

Tampa Bay got a goal from Jonathan Marchessault.

Canucks captain Henrik Sedin contributed an assist after missing two games with a lower-body injury. Starting goalie Ryan Miller, who left with cramping during the shootout of Sunday’s 5-4 loss at Florida, was scratched.

Daniel Sedin put the Canucks up, 2-1, from the top of the right circle off a pass from Henrik Sedin at 11:09 of the third. Henrik Sedin broke a tie with Luc Robitaille for 47th place with his 727th career assist.

Devils 4, Red Wings 3 — Kyle Palmieri had a goal and an assist and Cory Schneider made 25 saves for visiting New Jersey.

Jordin Tootoo, David Schlemko, and Sergey Kalinin also scored for the Devils. They had goals on three straight shots midway through the first period, ending Jimmy Howard’s night, and the Red Wings never caught up.

Panthers 2, Senators 1 — Aleksander Barkov scored the winning goal in a shootout as host Florida won its fifth straight game, and 11th in its past 14.
