Consumer price index

According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the consumer price index for all items remained unchanged in July. New numbers for August are expected to be released on Friday.

The Smaller Business Association of New England is hosting a workshop with NASA to give attendees a chance to learn the latest in the New England aerospace industry. The event includes networking and matchmaking opportunities for small businesses to connect with contractors. Diving into the appverse

Have a great idea for a mobile app? This app development boot camp will go over the process of creating an app from start to finish. Attendees will learn the basics of the app universe, the steps to building an iOS app, and how to manage layouts with multiple screen sizes. Calling all new biz owners

The Center for Women & Enterprise, a nonprofit dedicated to providing opportunities for women in business, is hosting a panel discussion on the variety of financing options available to new business owners. The event concludes with a Q&A among the panelists and audience members. Monday, 10 a.m. to noon, CWE Eastern MA, 24 School St., Boston. Free.

Startups be heard

Startups trying to stand out are invited to the Core Story workshop. The first session introduces the communication strategies used to help startups tell their stories. The second session will teach how to put these tools into practice.
