The sad news that David Bowie died on Sunday has triggered an avalanche of performance clips and photos on social media. And they all capture the cosmic greatness and multitudinous soul that he was. But I can’t stop watching him in one particular clip, from the fantastic Ricky Gervais series “Extras,’’ which had two short seasons and a finale special on HBO from 2005 to 2007. Gervais featured many celebrities such as Kate Winslet and Ian McKellen playing funny versions of themselves, but the very best cameo in the series came from Bowie, who skewers Gervais’s character in an impromptu song. Find it on YouTube (search for Bowie and Gervais) and I promise you, it will make you smile. He does to Ricky what Ricky does to Hollywood.

Second Chance 9 p.m., Fox

This new Fox drama offers up a twist on “Frankenstein.’’ A disgraced former cop dies, and a biotech billionaire floats his corpse in some kind of liquid to bring him back to life.
