Re “Lunenburg shaken by fatal crash’’ (Metro, Aug. 29): The overwhelming sadness from the injuries and loss of life in this fatal crash exists beside the additional terrible sadness of knowing that this accident was, more likely than not, preventable. Had there been a designated driver, one who had not been drinking, all three teenagers might have arrived home safely.
