Harvard honors Lucy Liu

Actress Lucy Liu was at Harvard’s Sanders Theatre Saturday to receive her prize for being the 2016 Artist of the Year, an annual honor bestowed by the Harvard Foundation. What was her prize, you ask? The actress known for her roles in “Charlie’s Angels,’’ “Kill Bill,’’ and the TV show “Elementary,’’ was treated to performances by student groups participating in the school’s annual Cultural Rhythms Festival. Previous honorees include, among others, Sharon Stone, Shakira, Quincy Jones, Dan Aykroyd, Queen Latifah, Andy Garcia, Will Smith, Halle Berry, Jackie Chan, and Salma Hayek.
