Newton native Rachel Platten, known for her hit “Fight Song,’’ will make a local appearance for her new album, “Wildfire,’’ in January. She’ll sign CDs (for those who still buy CDs) at the FYE at the Hanover Mall on Jan. 5. Starting Jan. 1, if you buy the album there, you’ll get a wristband for the event.
