Back Bay restaurants like Asta and L’Espalier are luscious, but they’re also a bit pricey. Wouldn’t it be nice, you might say, to enjoy their delicacies in less swanky environs? Here’s your chance: Visit the Boston Public Market on Sunday, July 10, for a pastry pop-up from dessert mavens Jared Bacheller and Erika Chan (above). Find Jerika’s Bakeshop Pop-Up in front of the Siena Farms storefront selling unusual treats like corn off the cob (cornbread with black pepper husk); lemon thyme scones plumped with local strawberry jam; sweet pea, beet, and carrot macarons; and more. Bacheller was named Food & Wine’s best new pastry chef while at L’Espalier, and now he’s at the acclaimed Asta, alongside Chan. The pop-up lasts from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Up next: an ice cream pop-up at the Chestnut Hill Rancatore’s on July 17 from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m., featuring Boston baked bean ice cream.
