Eyes forward | Walpole
Charles B. Carey/Globe Staff

Spectators, some of them sitting in second-story windowsills, lined Walpole’s Main Street on May 18, 1974, for a parade marking the town’s 250th anniversary. It was a three-hour procession including floats and 30 bands, according to a Globe article.
