The Stonehill College senior defensive lineman is one of 22 players from all divisions named to the Good Works team for outstanding efforts in community service and volunteerism. He was honored at halftime of the Sugar Bowl Friday night in New Orleans.

The 6-foot-5, 230-pound senior tight end will suit up for the East squad in Sunday’s Semper Fidelis All-American Game in Carson, Calif. The state’s Gatorade Player of the Year has committed to play at Penn State next fall.

MARY MCNEIL

CANTON

A freshman midfielder on the Merrimack College field hockey team, she was tabbed the Division 2 Rookie of the Year, and a second-team All-American, after pacing the Warriors in goals (14) and assists (11) in their drive to the national championship game.
