“Night Becomes Us,’’ a photographic exhibition at Duxbury’s Art Complex Museum. (Jurgen Lobert)

NIGHT WORK “Night Becomes Us,’’ nighttime photographs by the Greater Boston Night Photographers, seeks to convey the experience of the world at night where the mundane suddenly becomes ethereal and other-worldly, the busy becomes serene, and bland structures transform into bursts of color, according to the Art Complex Museum.

A reception for this show plus two one-artist shows — works by Paul Bloodgood and by Kyle Turner — takes place Sunday, Sept. 18, 1:30-3:30 p.m., at the museum.

Bloodgood’s work includes collages made of details from other landscape painters, photographs and drawings; on exhibit through Nov 6.

Turner is the museum’s newest staff member.

ART AND NATURE South Shore Art Center presents an art exhibit by Karen M. Pinard, whose works explore the connection between art and nature, at the Paul Pratt Memorial Library.

JAZZ BRUNCH South Shore Conservatory’s jazz/rock/pop faculty perform in the Hingham Jazz Festival, beginning with a Jazz Brunch in the Jane Carr Amphitheater from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The music moves indoors as vocalist Emily Browder Melville and her ESP Vocal Trio presents close harmony jazz at 1 p.m. in Cox Hall, followed by the Elan Mehler Jazz Trio playing original contemporary jazz in the lobby at 2. At 3 p.m. blues pianist Anthony Geraci presents the best of the blues in the school’s lobby.
