A junior guard at Boston University, she drained the winning shot off an inbound pass with 0.6 seconds left to lift the Terriors to their second win over the year, 51-49 over Navy. She is BU’s second-leading scorer (8.7 points per game).

After guiding the Marian/Keefe Tech football program to an 11-10 record over two seasons, the 29-year-old was hired by Boston College, his alma mater, as wide receivers coach. Gunnell had 181 catches for 2,459 yards and 18 touchdowns as an Eagle.

KATE KERRIGAN

WELLESLEY

A sophomore guard at Bowdoin College, she paced the 17-5 Polar Bears in two victories last week over Hamilton and Middlebury by averaging 10 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.0 steal. She shot 63 percent from the field.
