Gas prices on the rise

The average price for a gallon of gas in Massachusetts soared to its highest level this year, jumping 2 cents to $1.98 a gallon, according to AAA Northeast. New numbers will be released Monday.

Startup showcase

Five minutes talk

The Venture Forum, a nonprofit group for technology entrepreneurs, is hosting its 10th annual five-minute pitch competition. Eight entrepreneurs will pitch their ideas to a panel of investors. Political wisdom
