Patriots QB Tom Brady surprised folks at Wednesday’s “Kelley for Ellie’’ fashion show benefiting breast cancer patients. Hosted by WCVB’s Kelley Tuthill — a breast cancer survivor herself — the event featured Brady tossing autographed footballs to guests who paid $1,000 or more to support the Ellie Fund’s special evening. Wearing glasses that made him look a little nerdy, Brady hugged several donors, which nearly set off a stampede. Tuthill, who’s leaving WCVB to take a job overseeing public relations at Regis College, said it was the 10th “Kelley for Ellie’’ event and by far the most successful. Brady will be out and about this weekend, taking part in the annual Best Buddies Challenge: Hyannis Port, a walk, run, and ride benefiting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The event kicks off Friday with a charity football game at Harvard Stadium. Several current and former Pats players and assorted other VIPs, including Danny Amendola, Tedy Bruschi, Julian Edelman, Rob Gronkowski, and actress Jamie Brewer, Maria Menounos, actors Michael Chiklis and Greg Germann and Governor Charlie Baker.
