Galvcon Development LLC has demolished the more than 60-year-old Woolworth building in downtown Quincy to erect two six-story, 28-unit condominium buildings (above), with 8,000 square feet of retail space and a two-story parking garage. Sean Galvin, president of Galvcon, said construction of the new buildings at 1545 Hancock St. will begin in early March. He expects the first building to open in spring 2017 and the second by early 2018.

Hotel 1620 Plymouth Harbor, formerly the Radisson Hotel Plymouth Harbor, is undergoing a $5.7 million renovation overseen by its new managing company, Linchris Hotel Corp. The extensive restoration project, expected to conclude this fall, will revamp the lobby, landscape, meeting and banquet rooms, and guest rooms. The hotel will stay open during construction.

SouthField’s Winter Farmers Market in Weymouth, an indoor market in the gymnasium at 495 Shea Memorial Drive, is now open 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday until March 19. Local vendors and farms offer a variety of products (below), from produce to poultry, hummus to honey, and juice to jam.Works by local artists will be showcased at the market as well, and the Weymouth Food Pantry will be collecting donations each week.

HarborOne Bank of Brockton recently presented a check for $124,000 to United Way of Greater Plymouth County during a visit to the Boys & Girls Club of Brockton. Harbor­One Bank and its employees have donated more than $1 million to the nonprofit since 2003. Jennifer White, vice president of community and public relations at HarborOne Bank, said the company gives to United Way for its community-driven priorities and inclusive decision-making process.

Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt,an international frozen-yogurt franchise, has opened a shop (above) in the North Marketplace of Patriot Place near Gillette Stadium in Foxborough. Menchie’s offers gluten-free, vegan, and no high fructose corn syrup frozen yogurt in a variety of custom flavors. Joining the various stores and restaurants at Patriot Place, including New England’s first Bass Pro Shops, CBS Scene Restaurant & Bar, and retro bowling alley Splitsville Luxury Lanes, Menchie’s is open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
