US mortgage rates

New numbers for the average 30-year, fixed-rate mortgage will be released Thursday. Last week, Freddie Mac reported the average 30-year, fixed-rate mortgage slipped to 3.60 percent from 3.66 percent last week.

Massachusetts jobless rate

The Massachusetts unemployment rate for May will be released Thursday. The Commonwealth’s jobless rate fell to 4.2 percent in April from 4.4 percent the month before.

The Capital Network and Venture Cafe are sponsoring a panel discussion to discuss the Securities and Exchange Commission’s new crowdfunding equity rules. Help beat Lyme disease

The Bay Area Lyme Foundation is sponsoring a three-day hackathon. Attendees will work in teams to find a tech-based solution to a challenge stemming from Lyme disease.
