Producers of Mark Wahlberg’s Marathon bombing movie “Patriots Day’’ are looking for locals to be in the film. The folks at Boston Casting are holding an open call Sunday and they’ll have an eye out for people to play police officers, firefighters, doctors, nurses, paramedics, SWAT team members, marathon runners, and other extras. Open to anyone over the age of 18, the casting call will take place from 10 a.m. to 5?p.m. at 129 Braintree St. in Allston. (If you’re going, bring a photo.)

“Patriots Day,’’ whose cast so far includes Wahlberg and J.K. Simmons, is being directed by Peter Berg, whose big-screen credits include “Friday Night Lights,’’ “The Kingdom,’’ and “Hancock.’’ It will focus on the events leading up to the bombings of April 15, 2013, and the chaotic aftermath. Wahlberg will portray a police officer who played a key role in tracking down the bombers, while Simmons will play Watertown Police Sergeant Jeffrey Pugliese, who received the Medal of Valor for his actions during the shootout with the Tsarnaev brothers days after the bombings.

Filming is set to take place from March 29 to May 31, and the movie is scheduled to be released in December.
