Nick Couhig put Falmouth ahead to stay with his third scoring pass of the evening. Then the senior QB let the Clipper D close out a thrilling 20-14 overtime victory over visiting Marshfield on Friday night.
“It’s a big moment for our program,’’ said Falmouth coach Derek Almeida after his squad stayed unbeaten at 3-0.
“Our kids battled. Bottom line, it was heart and toughness. We had to be ready for their physicality.’’
In OT, Couhig tossed a scoring pass to Colby Murphy for the lead, but Falmouth missed the conversion.
The Rams (2-1) responded with a 5-yard rush on their first attempt.
On second down, Falmouth senior corner Trent Leachman stripped Marshfield’s Jack McNeil, and senior Mike LaFrange scooped up the ball and hit the turf to seal the win.
The home fans rushed the field at the final whistle.
Duxbury 49, Whitman-Hanson 14 — Bobby Maimaron rushed for four TDs and passed for another as the top-ranked Dragons cruised.
Xaverian 49, Barnstable 0 — Senior Devon Piccinin scored two touchdowns to lead the No. 2 Hawks (2-1).

Andover 54, Lawrence 20 — EJ Perry fired five touchdown passes as the 12th-ranked Warriors won their first.
Tewksbury 35, North Andover 27 — Brandon Winn rushed for four touchdowns, capped by the 10-yard winner in overtime to lead the Redmen.

Blue Hills 22, Old Colony 15 — Andrew Bryant fired touchdown passes of 71, 44, and 65 yards for the host Warriors.

Belmont 17, Arlington 14 — Junior Aidan Cadogan drilled a 32-yard field goal as time expired for the host Marauders, while senior back Ben Jones rushed for 242 yards and two touchdowns, raising his two-game total to 576 yards and seven TDs.
Wakefield 23, Watertown 20— The host Raiders took the lead in OT on a 28-yard field goal from Conor Kennelly, but the Warriors answered with a 10-yard run from Will Shea for the win. Kennelly forced OT with a 48-yard boot.

Boston English 24, South Boston 8 — Senior QB Aneury Lara rushed for all three touchdowns as the Blue and Blue (2-1) capitalized on seven turnovers to beat the Knights.
Nonleague
Bishop Fenwick 21, Pentucket 6 — Sophomore QB Cory Bright rushed for 127 yards and two TDs on 13 carries and threw for 126 yards and a score on 8-of-14 passing for the 15th-ranked Crusaders.
Hamilton-Wenham 34, Chelsea 0 — Sophomore quarterback Billy Whelan accounted for three touchdowns to lead the visiting Generals.
Bridgewater-Raynham 31, New Bedford 14 — Shawn Noel rushed for a pair of touchdowns to lead the No. 12 Trojans (2-1).
