Jack Barrett, Holliston — What can the senior quarterback do for an encore? As a first-year starter last fall, he piloted the Panthers to the Division 4 title, throwing for 1,585 yards and 18 TDs while churning out 917 yards and 13 more scores on the ground.
Dylan Bonfilio, Burlington — The versatile senior accumulated more than 1,200 yards through the air last season and racked up 12 touchdowns, five of which came on the ground.
Bret Edwards, Central Catholic — As a sophomore, Edwards threw for 1,917 yards and 21 touchdowns and ran for six more scores as the Raiders advanced to the Division 1 Super Bowl.
Mekhi Henderson, Xaverian — A four-year starter from Cumberland, R.I., the 5-foot-10-inch, 180-pound corner headlines the best defense in the state. He has made 36 consecutive starts for the two-time defending Division 1 champs.
Blake Hill, Milford — A 6-1, 220-pound two-way standout who has committed to Yale, Hill piled up 21 touchdowns last fall while racking up a bundle of tackles at linebacker.
Stephen Jacques, TechBoston — The senior dual-threat QB tied for the Division 6 lead in touchdowns last season (11).
Alex Kaupp, Bishop Fenwick — Coach Dave Woods calls his 6-1, 245-pound captain a formidable blocker (tackle) and run stopper (linebacker), the program’s top college prospect, and a key cog for the reigning Catholic Central Large champs.
Derek Laundry, Billerica — The 5-11, 220-pound senior was a force off the edge last fall, with 104 tackles and four interceptions. This fall, he will be the Indians’ lead back.
Bobby Maimaron, Duxbury — The reigning Keenan Division MVP in the Patriot League, the 6-1 senior fired 32 TD passes last fall and scampered for 10 more on the ground (along with 835 yards) in leading the Dragons to the D3 Southwest final.
Byron Martin, Cathedral — The senior back produced 1,500 yards rushing last season and returns with a solid line intact. With his deceptive speed, he’s often blazing by the secondary before it can react.
Jordan McAfee, Everett — The 6-4 quarterback missed a portion of last season with mononucleosis, but he helped direct the Crimson Tide to the Division 1 North final.
Matt McCarthy, North Reading — The senior back/safety put his vast skills to work last fall in earning Player of the Year honors in the Cape Ann League. He also competed in the 4 x 100 at the national track and field championships last spring.
E.J. Perry IV, Andover — The Boston College recruit is the reigning Merrimack Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Year after a record-setting year (2,852 passing yards, 34 TDs), punctuated by a 636-yard aerial show in the playoffs.
Mike Pedrini, Melrose —A returning Globe All-Scholastic, Pedrini rushed for 1,200 yards and 20 touchdowns to power the Red Raiders to the Division 3 Super Bowl.
Jack Rega, Archbishop Williams — With his 2,224 passing yards and 31 touchdowns in 20 games, there is no guide out there to contain this senior quarterback. Rega will look to lead the Bishops to a Catholic Central League title in his final season.
Cory Ryder, Nantucket — A 6-4, 290-pound senior center, he is one of the top-ranked long snappers in the country. With a 4.0 GPA, he has committed to Holy Cross.
Abraham Toe, St. Mary’s of Lynn — A returning Globe All-Scholastic who paced Division 5 with 27 TDs, he has 3,567 yards and 56 scores in his career.
Michael Thompson, St. Clement — A starter since freshman year, the 6-4 junior wideout has been lauded as an “incredible route runner’’ and a “scholarship level player,’’ by head coach Colin Walsh.
