In “The polarizing Elizabeth Warren’’ (Opinion, Jan. 12), Eric Fehrnstrom slams our senior senator for failing to fall in line with Senate Republicans and for criticizing the president-elect.

But we have a Republican Senate leadership whose number one priority was making Barack Obama a one-term president, and whose current goals include joining Donald Trump in stripping 20 million Americans of health insurance, giving massive tax cuts to the super-wealthy, and eliminating vital environmental and safety regulations.

These priorities are the polar opposite of what the vast majority of Senator Warren’s constituents want, and we are grateful she is doing her job with courage and integrity.
