Makes 1 drink

1 ounce rye whiskey (Rittenhouse is recommended)

½ ounce Angostura bitters

½ ounce espresso, cooled

¾ ounce orgeat

1 egg

Orange peel (for twisting)

1. Add rye, Angostura bitters, espresso, and orgeat to a shaker. Crack the egg into the liquid and shake vigorously for 20 seconds.

2. Add ice and shake an additional 20 seconds.

3. Double strain into a chilled rocks glass.

4. Twist orange peel over the drink to express the oils. Discard the twist. Adapted from SRV
