Ongoing Frank Sinatra celebration 8 p.m., TCM
TCM, having spent the month honoring Ol’ Blue Eyes’ centenary, now folds the holidays into the festivities. A 1957 TV special, “Happy Holidays With Bing and Frank,’’ kicks things off. If you have to ask who Bing is, this probably isn’t for you. Notice that Crosby gets top billing. It’s followed by a Frank film festival: “The Miracle of the Bells’’ (1948); “High Society’’ (1956), with Bing again showing up; “Robin and the 7 Hoods’’ (1964 — more Bing!); and “The Tender Trap’’ (1955). (From left: Crosby, Grace Kelly, and Sinatra.)
2015 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony 11:30 p.m., HBO
True, this originally aired almost seven months ago. But it’s sort of topical again, with last week’s announcement of the 2016 inductees. And when isn’t it fun to see Ringo? The other honorees: the 5 Royales, the Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Green Day, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, Lou Reed, Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble, and Bill Withers (pictured).
Nova: Building the Great Cathedrals 9 p.m., WGBH 2
This rebroadcast of a 2010 “Nova’’ about the construction of magnificent medieval churches doesn’t have a Christmas subject, of course, but it’s certainly in the Christmas spirit.
Inside Story 6:30 p.m and 11:30 p.m., Al Jazeera America
Holiday counter-programming? Ray Suarez examines whether Americans are losing their religious faith.
How the Grinch Stole Christmas 8 p.m., NBC
