FARRUQUITO He hails from one of the great Gyspy flamenco dynasties, and for this World Music Flamenco Festival 2016 program he presents the Boston premiere of “Improvisao,’’ which celebrates the roots of his flamenco puro aesthetic. BOLSHOI POSTMODERN Ballets Russes Arts Initiative showcases the experimental side of the famed Bolshoi Ballet in a series of HD film screenings and panel discussions at the Museum of Fine Arts. Featured ballets include two historic Bolshoi works from the 1930s, “The Bolt’’ and “Flames of Paris,’’ reimagined by former Bolshoi Ballet artistic director Alexei Ratmansky. March 3-6. $9-$15. ONEGIN Boston Ballet fans have been eagerly awaiting the return of John Cranko’s moving story ballet. Based on Pushkin’s tale of unrequited love, it is one of the most romantic and dramatically convincing ballets in the repertoire.
