Americans’ coastal arrogance cost Democrats their leadership
If ever anyone wants a definition of the coastal arrogance that cost Democrats the presidency, Congress, governorships, and county offices from coast to coast, all they need do is read Thomas Farragher’s “All come to look for (Trump’s) America,’’ in which not only does the Globe columnist deny living in Donald Trump’s America but he writes about going “over the Hudson’’ as if he were exploring uncharted regions to report back to us on the natives.
Is Farragher so out of touch with ordinary citizens that he needs to journey by automobile over flyover states?
He does live in Trump’s America. We all do. Pretending we do not is likely why Democrats gave away American leadership.
