2016 Democratic National Convention 9 p.m., multiple networks

Had enough yet? Well, you’re in luck!/That’s too bad. It’s night three of the dilly in Philly, and Wednesday night’s lineup of speakers is a network-gobbling doozy. We’re scheduled to hear from the Democratic vice presidential nominee, Virginia senator Tim Kaine (pictured), Vice President Joe Biden, and President Barack Obama. May I recommend pairing this with Scott Baio’s Twitter feed? I guarantee you will find it [Italian chef finger kiss].

Poltergeist 8:25 p.m., Cinemax

Speaking of evil spirits that live in your TV, if your recent binge-watching of “Stranger Things’’ has you craving that early-’80s sweet spot of Spielbergian suburban sci-fi, go toward the light of one of the series’ primary spiritual forerunners.

Cutthroat Kitchen 9 p.m., Food Network

Just what it says on the tin.

America’s Most Desperate Kitchens 8 p.m., HGTV

Potentially cutthroat kitchens.

Big Brother 8 p.m., CBS

Cutthroat kitchen, pantry, living room — pretty much the whole property.
