Michael Keaton (pictured) was honored as best actor for his role in the Boston film “Spotlight’’ at the New York Film Critics Circle Awards on Monday. The big winner of the day, though, was the Todd Haynes film “Carol,’’ which picked up the awards for best picture, director, screenplay, and cinematographer.
