On Milton’s border lies a proud neighborhood, not a ‘rough edge’
In writing about political change coming to Milton, with the departure of longtime state Senator Brian Joyce (Metro, Sept. 5), Stephanie Ebbert described Milton as a “leafy suburb bordering a rough edge of Boston.’’ Well, I live on equally leafy Fairmount Hill in Hyde Park, which borders Milton. For the record, we, the proud residents of Fairmount Hill, are not a rough edge, but rather an inviting, positive, and integrated section of Boston. Ebbert should remember that honest, hard-working people live in these neighborhoods that reporters disparage.
