VOCALOSITY Fans of the “Pitch Perfect’’ films and the TV competition series “The Sing-Off’’ should know this tour is produced by one of the creative people involved in those a cappella-celebrating endeavors: performer, arranger, composer, and director Deke Sharon. The Tufts University and New England Conservatory alum has assembled a group of singers to tackle everything from Gregorian chants to Wiz Khalifa. Feb. 16. 7:30 p.m. $29.50-$63.50. Shubert Theatre. www.citicenter.org

THE LOVED ONES Although we’ll admit that we’re glad Dave Hause, frontman for this scrappy Philly punk outfit, went solo since it resulted in one of our all-time favorite albums — 2011’s stunning, soulful, smart “Resolutions’’ — it’s nice to see the gang together again. Feb. 18. 8 p.m. $16. The Sinclair. 800-745-3000. www.ticketmaster.com

JOSH RITTER AND THE ROYAL CITY BAND The singer-songwriter’s latest album, “Sermon on the Rocks,’’ is a real treat, chock full of clever wordplay, slippery grooves, and vivid character studies. It’s also one of the funkiest, disparate, and most rocking efforts to date from Ritter (pictured). Feb. 19. $28.50-$38.50. House of Blues. 800-745-3000. www.livenation.com SARAH RODMAN
