Despite leading by as many as 15 points in the first half, the Boston College men’s basketball team could not hold off a late charge by Georgia Tech and lost, 65-54, on Saturday night in Atlanta.

Held to just 15 first-half points, the Yellow Jackets (15-10, 6-6 Atlantic Coast Conference) dominated the second half in snapping a two-game conference skid. A 29-point effort by Tadric Jackson sparked the comeback.

Jerome Robinson scored 17 points to lead the Eagles (9-17, 2-11), whose conference road record fell to 0-6 on the season. BC’s ACC road losing streak is at 15 games, dating to March of 2015.

The Yellow Jackets missed 22 of their first 24 shots and committed 10 turnovers in a mistake-prone first half.

But Justin Moore’s 3-pointer at 12:28 of the second half trimmed BC’s lead to 34-32 and triggered a 35-18 run by Georgia Tech that put the game out of reach.
