We’re often running out the door with an insulated to-go mug to keep fresh-brewed coffee piping hot. The Iced Coffee Maker from Zoku ($30) does the contrary: It turns hot coffee or tea into a chilled drink. Store the stainless steel tumbler in the freezer for at least 24 hours, then slip it inside the colorful insulated sleeve, which is available in red, purple, teal, and blue. Pour in the drink and snap on the lid. In five minutes, you’ll have an 11-ounce cold beverage without ice to dilute its flavor. A sipping straw is included. Start with a cool liquid, and you’ll get a slushy thirst quencher, perfect for a summer day. Available at Williams-Sonoma and Barnes & Noble locations; or go to www.zokuhome.com. ANN TRIEGER KURLAND
