Indie sci-fi “Alienated,’’ which features the final performance by Taylor Negron, the late comic best known for his performance in “Fast Times at Ridgemont High,’’ will kick off a one-week engagement at the Somerville Theater Friday. Directed by Brian Ackley, the film, which also lands on VOD March 31, centers on a married couple, played by George Katt and Jen Burry, who tackle potentially insurmountable obstacles in their relationship amid the threat of an alien invasion. The movie has been making a splash on the festival circuit, racking up 13 awards including three for best director. It held its New England premiere at the Boston Sci Fi Film Festival last month.
