From the passion being exhibited at political rallies in this election, you’d think we were celebrating the arrival of a messiah with messages of good tidings from on high.

Electing a leader, the effect of whose policies for our future is unpredictable, is something that should be approached with trepidation, not with the fervor evoked by blind faith.
